Basics
Hi there! I’m Adi. I’m a mathematician and data scientist with a background in discrete mathematics, combinatorics, and graph theory. Over the years, my work has increasingly focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning, particularly applied deep learning.
I tend to approach problems from a systems perspective: I’m interested not only in creating and training models, but in understanding how information flows through a system, how the different pieces interact.
TLDR: I like turning interesting ideas into something I can use in the real world.
Personal Interests

When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my son, David, or disappearing down one of my many hobby rabbit holes.
Electronics (as in transistors, not iPads) have been a passion of mine since childhood. I enjoy designing and building audio electronics, and generally figuring out how things work. I love plugging my guitar into a preamplifier I built on the breadboard, and seeing the various sounds I can get from that. If you’re into that stuff, check out PyAmpScope, which I wrote to help me measure and characterize the circuits I build.
I also like the arts, drawing, betta fish, and shooting arrows down the range, among other things.
I make a really mean pizza from scratch.
I’m a huge fan of the outdoors, biking, hiking, and generally being in nature.
I’m also deeply interested in consciousness, particularly exploring the nature of everyday experience, how it arises, and the implications it has about ourselves and reality.
